A great pub with a nicely renovated and comfortable interior and friendly, helpful staff. It keeps a bit of the rustic bar-meal feel by having you order from a backboard menu at the bar, collect your own cutlery and find your own table.

The menu is pretty extensive and broad. Honest, farm-gate dishes with big flavour and HUGE servings. We thought there was just really, really good cooking going on at the Farmers Arms, without any concession to gastro-pub fashion.

We shared a tasting plate, had (massive!) mains for 2 and even squeezed in a dessert each for under $150 and enjoyed every mouthful as well as the atmosphere and service.
You should go.
